Over 40 Bods that I Would Love To Have
In Holywood 40 is the new 25 & these hot celebs defy gravity & time by looking great all the time. From
Courtney’s mix of martial arts, yoga, & diet to Elizabeth Hurleys laid back just chase the kids around approach. Every celeb has a secret to staying thin.
However over the years of magazine reading, and special watching of these sought after celeb bodies I realized that all I do by caring what these women look like & how they got that way is make myself feel worse.
I read stories all the time about the next best guru inspired fad that has all of Hollywood looking young, toned, & radiant. I get all jazzed up & then realize that I cannot hire a chef, or a trainer to spend two hours a day with me. Never mind setting aside 2 hours for cardio & an hour of meditation, & an hour for weights. Hello who is watching their kids when they are doing this, & oh yeah I have a 60 hour a week job, a budget, family, and a life outside of my pant size.
Now I am not saying that these women don’t look amazing. And I am not as dull as to not give credit to their profession & a lifetime supply of whatever product they endorse. If we were in Hollywood I am sure we would have to be doing the same. All I am saying is that for me I was so liberated when I stopped reading those Hollywood’s next best diet adds. For me it was just one more bar to set that I would never reach. So while I am glad that age is now beautiful on the big screen I challenge all 40+rs to not get caught up in what we preach to our younger counterparts that are all trying to be the next Paris Hilton, or what ever 90lb princess it is this week. Because as silly as that sounds to us we do the same thing trying to have the 40year old Courtney’s arms, or the wrinkle free Andi face.
With age comes beauty, & stretch marks, & wrinkles, & all those things. And unless you can afford a small fortune & a good team of surgeons no Hollywood must have is ever going to make you happy. You must have a healthy lifestyle & be happy with your body first, because to be comfortable in your own skin is just as sexy as a midriff that you can bounce a quarter off of at 52.
We are all beautiful so don’t try to compare…I’m just say’n!

Remember as kids we never had to work out! try keeping up with your kids of any age. I mean really keep up, not just read a book on the bench (oh me) & I am willing to bet we all get in to hot soccer mom shape:)
